  • What size is the difference between an SD card and a microSD card?
    The SD card is bigger than the microSD card. The specific size of the SD card is 24 x 32 x 2.1mm, while the microSD card is 15 x 11 x 1mm.
  • Can I use a microSD card in an SD card slot?
    Yes. addlink’s microSD cards are sold with an adapter (it looks like a standard SD card that you can put your microSD inside it.
  • What are SD/microSD card types?
    •SD/microSD cards - Capacity range from 128MB to 2GB. - Default format: FAT16 - Work in all host devices that support SD, SDHC, or SDXC •SDHC/microSDHC (High Capacity) cards - Capacity range from 4GB to 32GB. - Default format: FAT32 - NOT backward compatible with host devices that only take SD (128MB - 2GB) cards. •SDXC/microSDXC (SD Exteneded Capacity) cards - Capacity range from 64GB to 2B. - Default format: exFAT - NOT backward compatible with host devices that only take SD (128MB - 2GB) or SDHC (4GB to 32GB) cards Look for the SDXC logo on cards and host devices (cameras, smartphones, etc.) to ensure compatibility.
  • What’s Card Speed: Class 2, Class 4, Class 6, Class 10
    Each SD or MicroSD card has a speed rating called a Class. The class rating system rating corresponds to the minimum read speeds as below •Class 2 – 2MB/s •Class 4 – 4MB/s •Class 6 – 6MB/s •Class 10 – 10MB/s
  • What do UHS-1 U1 and U3 mean?
    After the Class 10 classification, an additional standard called UHS was introduced, which allows a card to reach higher speeds as below •UHS Class 1 (U1) has a minimum performance rating of 10MB/s writing speed •UHS Class 3 (U3) card guarantees a write speed of 30MB/s but has the potential for a read and write speed of up to 104MB/s if used with a device that supports a UHS-I bus interface. It supports 4K video recording. If you have an Action Camera that records HD, FHD, or 4K, you need to think about purchasing UHS (U3) card for the best performance and writing speed.
  • What are the A1 and A2 Differences in SD/microSD cards?
    The Application Performance Class 1 (A1) was defined by SD Physical 5.1. With an A1 SD card, users can store pictures, videos, and apps, and it also helps users free from editing and updating data. The A2 supports the SD Physical 6.0 specification and makes the SD memory card higher than A1 performance using Command Queuing and Cache functions. For the performance, the Class A1 SD card requires a minimum of 1500 IOPS reading and 500 IOPS writing speeds, while A2 requires 4000 and 2000 IOPS.
  • What is Video Speed Class V30?
    The Video Speed Class V30 designation means that the card can write at least 30MB/s continuous video recording, and the UHS Speed Class U3 rating has the same minimum constant write speed.
  • What's the Difference Between U3 vs. Class 10?
    U3 means that the SD card has a UHS Speed Class of 3, the card has a minimum sequential write speed of 30MB/s. Class 10 means that the card has an original Speed Class of 10 and that a memory card has a minimum sequential write speed of at least 10MB/s.
  • How to fix my SD card that became a read-only memory card?
    Method 1. Unlock Read-Only SD card with Physical Write Protection Tab. Check if there is a physical lock switch on it? Position the lock switch and unlock the SD Card.
  • How to Format a microSD card on Nintendo Switch?

  • Which file system does the microSD of Kindle Fire use?
    The File Tablets support the FAT32 file system.
  • How to use a microSD card on Kindle Fire Tablet?
